OCN’s “Neighbourhood Hero” Gears Up for Air

I’ve personally never watched a drama from cable channel OCN (home to God’s Quiz, Vampire Prosecutor and Bad Guys) so this will be an interesting experience for me, but the teaser seems really interesting so I hope that it won’t let me down. Neighbourhood Hero is set to air it’s first episode on the 23rd of January and recently held it’s official press conference at Yeongdeungpo Times Square where the entire cast were in attendance. The cast in question consists of Park Shi Hoo (Cheongdamdong Alice) who’s making his return to screen after three years, Lee Soo Hyuk (Scholar Who Walks the Night), Cho Seung Ha (Hwajung), SNSD’s Kwon Yuri, Yoon Tae Young (Records of a Night Watchman), Jung Man Shik (Glorious Day) and Choi Yoon So (Twenty Again).  Continue reading

Nominees for the 2015 Korea Drama Awards


The nominees for the 2015 Korea Drama Awards were announced earlier today (September 9th) and competition is fierce for who will win the Daesang and Top Excellence awards. MBC’s popular drama “Kill Me, Heal Me” is the most nominated drama, lead actor Ji Sung is nominated for the Daesang, whilst lead actress Hwang Jung Eum is nominated for Top Excellence Actress, the drama itself is also nominated for Best Drama. The 2015 Korea Drama Awards will be held on the 6th of October 2015 at Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province.  Continue reading

‘Ka Badin’ Releases Final Teaser and First OST

 YES!!!!!! IT’S FINALLY HERE!!!  *cough* I mean, Thai TV3’s upcoming historical drama “Ka Badin” is finally set to air on the 22nd of May after the release of its’s official teaser. The title loosely translates to being a servant of the nation using the Boran (historical Thai) word for “nation” and by “servant” it means someone who loves the nation with their whole heart and is willing to die for it.  After an extremely long casting process MBC’s “Scholar Who Walks the Night” is finally ready to hit our screens, the entire cast and crew gathered together for their first table read this week. Present for the table read were all the main cast members including Lee Jun Ki (Joseon Gunman), Lee Yubi (Pinocchio), Lee Soo Hyuk (Valid Love) , Kim So Eun (Liar Game) and TVXQ’s Changmin. Cha Tae Hyun & Gong Hyo Jin Unveiled as Veteran PDs in First Producer Stills

With such an impressive lead cast, writer Park Ji Eun of hit drama You Who Came From the Stars penning the script and veteran romcom directer Pyo Min Soo (Ho Gu’s Love, You’ve Fallen for Me, Flower Boy Ramyun Shop) at the helm, it’s no surprise that any news on the upcoming KBS drama Producer has been received with great interest.

The first stills have recently been released, featuring Gong Hyo Jin in character as Tak Ye Jin, PD of Music Bank. and Cha Tae Hyun as Ra Joon Mo, the veteran PD of 1 Night 2 Days.

‘In Time With You’ Remake confirms leads


The Korean remake of Taiwanese drama “In Time with You” has finally confirmed both leads (or will finally confirm both leads once Ha Ji Won (Empress Ki) finally gives the ok on her side since her name has been attached to the drama for a while), Ha Ji Won will star opposite Lee Jin Wook (The Three Musketeers) who recently confirmed his participation. The drama will be retitled  “The Time I’ve Loved You, 7000 Days” and will air on SBS sometime in June after “Divorce Lawyer in Love” which stars Jo Yeo Jung (Haeundae Lovers) and Yeon Woo Jin (Marriage, Not Dating).  Continue reading

 With Lee Jun Ki (Joseon Gunman) finally confirmed (after the long and tedious search for a lead, the last news casting news we heard was back in November when Park Hae Jin was offered the role) as the titular vampire scholar for MBC’s upcoming drama adaptation of popular webtoon “Scholar who Walks the Night”  the production company are now turning their attention to casting the cross dressing female lead.  Continue reading

Ji Sung Celebrates His 38th Birthday With Fans

So who’s watching (and loving) Kill Me, Heal Me? The drama and its cast and crew have been enjoying plenty of well-deserved praise from the audience for the show’s quality acting and writing, and no one has received more critical acclaim than Ji Sung for the way he’s brought alive his character’s seven different personalities. (Or six, technically, since the last one is yet to be revealed.)

Ji Sung turned 38 (or 39 in Korean age) yesterday on February 27th, and fans armed with cake and gifts visited Ji Sung earlier today to celebrate his birthday with him. How adorable is the baby dress and shoes – is Lee Bo Young expecting a baby girl, then?
